Bamboo Temple in Costa Rica
Some friends and I recently helped yet another friend with a homegrown bamboo Temple on his property in Costa Rica. Lots of huge 6-10" diameter Dendrocalamus asper that had 10+ years to mature that we turned into a beautiful architectural space. Bonus time was spent spearfishing the beautiful gulf just to the west!
Next up: An earthen floor and palm roof coming in March & April 2021
"Sanctuary" Bamboo Workshop was a great success!
SoCal American Bamboo Society members worked with Bobby Furst, JT Music Festival and the Joshua Tree Campgrounds to build a permanent roof structure over an earthen bench and altar space. Instructor: Gerard Minakawa of Bamboo DNA
